2006 Crossroads Cross Terrain 36DS 38′ 5th Wheel Toy Hauler, purchased new in 2007 and used less than a 20 nights since new. We purchased this from Jeff’s RV in Marion, IA as our first camper/RV when my son was 3 years old but never got into camping like we thought and now that he is involved in sports year round, we’ve only used it 4 weekends in the past 3 years (it does get used at least one week or weekend per year since new). It has only been towed beyond 40 miles from home one three occasions. Once to Indianapolis, once to Brainerd and once to Wisconsin Dells otherwise we just take it from Marion to our farm/recreational property in Cedar County about 30 miles away so the tires, bearings, brakes and running geal in general are still like new. The only thing ever put in the garage has been a quad and/or a dirtbike and that has been on very few occasions. We typically use the garage area for extra sleeping space and put a blowup mattress down so we can comfortably sleep 8 people in the camper.
It was well optioned compared to the base model. Some of the features include: 5.5kw Onan Generator, Roof Air Conditioning, Patio Awning, Two Slide Outs, Arctic Pack Insulation, Basement Storage, Outside Entertainment Center With Stereo, Rear Leveling Jacks, Gel Coat Exterior Fiberglass, Spare Tire, Dual Pane Windows, One Skylight and 122 gallon water capacity, a 12ft X 8ft Garage Area, 28 Gallon Fueling Station, Pull Down Rear Screen Wall Enclosure in garage, Rubber Floor with EZ Track for unlimited cargo tie-down options.
In The Bedroom There Is A Walk Around Queen Bed With A Wardrobe Closet. For Additional Sleeping, There Is A Sofa Sleeper, and The Loft Has A Queen Size Mattress. Sleeps 8.In The Bathroom There Is A Glass Enclosed Shower, Sink And Vanity. The Kitchen Features A Three-Burner Stove, Microwave, Double Sink And Formica Counter Tops. The Entertainment Center has a 27in TV, TV Antenna Booster, DVD Player, and A Surround Sound Stereo System, Day And Night Shades, Linoleum Flooring, beige carpet and a tasteful brown & beige interior & upholstery.
No pets and no smokers so the camper is fresh as the day it was delivered. These photos are just for reference in case you have not seen a Cross Terrain 36DS before. We paid nearly $50K for this camper only 7 years ago and it is still in outstanding condition. I hate to sell it because we won’t get nearly what it is truely worth but I can’t justify owning it an not ever using it.
It can be viewed/ shown at the storage facility in Marion, near the Walmart store. Call or text me and we can setup a time to see it or, for serious out of town buyers, I can go take photos of the interior and exterior.
Also, I have a white 1999 Ford F350 Super Duty XLT crew cab, long box with 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel that I purchased at the same time as the trailer. We installed a Reece 18K 5th wheel hitch to pull this camper as well as a bedliner and aluminum tool box with bed rails. It now has 165,000 miles and I don’t use it much other than when pulling this camper. I would be willing to sell the truck as well in a package deal along with the camper, but I will not sell the truck until I sell the camper. The truck is spotless, perfect inside and out with no rust. I replaced the transmission and turbo when I got it and just put new BF Goodrich tires on it last summer (maybe 300 miles ago). It is in excellent mechanical condition and pulls this camper very nicely, plus it matches the color perfectly because it is two-tone white with grey below the trim. The truck is not included in the $29,000 price for the camper. The camper and truck would cost $45,000 as a package deal.
